EMF symposium:

Low frequency electromagnetic field exposure

and modulation of cellular functions

Welcome to the EMF symposium website hosted by the Cell Biology & Immunology group at Wageningen University.
This website provides information and registration opportunities.

Low frequency electric and magnetic fields (LF-EMF), produced by electric-power generating facilities are hard to avoid in everyday life and their potential impact on human health forms a serious societal concern. The mechanism of interaction of LF-EMF with living cells still forms an unresolved biophysical issue. During this symposium a state of the art overview of the current knowledge is presented by internationally renowned researchers in this field.

The official symposium language is English.

This symposium is part of the ZonMw “Electromagnetic fields and Health” program.
The objective of the symposium is to create an open and science-based discussion on EMF issues.
The symposium is organized for academic researchers and other persons or organizations with an interest in low frequency  electro-magnetic field exposure studies.
